Specsavers deploys Red Hat’s open source technology

Red Hat, the provider of open source solution has revealed that its service have been deployed by Specsavers. The services include Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, and Red Hat JBoss Fuse. The company is a leader in providing reliable and stable platform for critical applications across the globe.

Specsavers has been the associated with Red Hat since 10 years. Within the span of these 10 years the company shifted its IT infrastructure to the Red Hat environment and Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers. Specsavers chose Red Hat because of its cost effective technology and reliability it provides for the retail market. It has helped Specsavers to expand its business and also improve the quality of its customer service. The Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization provides Specsavers with management functionality with lower maintenance cost. It also has faster resource allocation and the ability to replicate various environments without needing access to physical systems, which could typically consume large amounts of space. Phil Andrews, regional VP of Northern and Eastern Europe, Red Hat said, “We’re pleased to be expanding our long-term relationship with Specsavers as its chosen open source partner to underpin its infrastructure across the board.
