Siemens’ NX software presented in cost-effective private cloud environment

Siemens’ NX software, the enterprise’s flagship solution aimed at integrated 3D computer-aided design, followed by manufacturing and engineering analysis (CAD/CAM/CAE), is now available in a cost-effective private cloud environment.

Siemens from its barrio has worked closely with NVIDIA Corp. to certify the deployment of NX in the private cloud using virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) with NVIDIA GRID vGPU (virtual graphics processing unit) technology. This technology facilitates companies to use central servers buttressed with remote access, to be able to host software on a virtual desktop. VDI certification eliminates the need to install NX on a local client which aids in decreasing IT support outlays.

The novel deployment option augments flexibility and further expands the wide variety of platform choices available to NX clienteles. Accordingly, Siemens and NVIDIA from their end were able to help one of their joint customers, Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI) successfully array NX in a private cloud environment.
