Barracuda Networks

Barracuda Networks has revealed that it has joined that Ruckus Wireless Technology Ecosystem. Through this program the company will empower the customers to implement policy-based content security – including URL filtering and malware protection – via the award-winning Barracuda Web Filter in Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi network environments.

Speaking about the program, Stephen Pao, General Manager – Security, Barracuda, said, “BYOD continues to be a major challenge for organizations looking to provide their users a convenient and secure browsing experience while still keeping their networks safe. The integration of the Barracuda Web Filter with Ruckus Wireless network infrastructure helps alleviates that burden and allows IT administrators to easily set and enforce Internet usage policy across multiple users.”

The Barracuda Web Filter together with Ruckus Wireless integration will provide administrators with flexibility which will enable them to easily manage user specific policies within the campus. They will also host marketing events, webinar and local trainings to educate the customers and partners about the solution.

Commenting about it, Wendy Cartee, Vice-President – Marketing, Ruckus Wireless, said, “Our Barracuda integration addresses a key market need. Many of our customers use the Barracuda Web Filter and want to apply consistent end-user policies across their wired and wireless networks. This is especially critical in the key markets such as education, where wireless is becoming the primary access technology.”
