Videocon d2h opts for Broadcom to Deliver HD Satellite Service

Broadcom Corporation has released that Videocon d2h one of the fastest growing direct-to-home (DTH) satellite service provider, will be using Broadcom’s highly integrated satellite set-top box (STB) system-on-a-chip (SoC) device to power their latest high definition (HD) universal serial bus (USB) digital video recorder (DVR). This deployment will enable Videocon to deliver HD content to its subscribers throughout the region reducing the complexities.

The Videocon d2h’s HD USB DVR is skilled enough to record the content on a USB storage device and it will deliver high quality of picture content to the users. This service is specially designed by the company keeping in mind the rising demands from the users. The Videocon d2h HD USB DVR is powered by Broadcom’s BCM7358 single-channel 1080p HD advanced video coding (AVC) satellite receiver chip. Along with this it also comes equipped with high performance CPU and graphics engine, Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA®) connectivity support and advanced security functionality.
